UX and UI design revamp with new NFC technology.
Old Dash UX/UI
Problem
1st generation of Dash payment app was not being utilized or downloaded by users. After some user research, users need something hassle free and great incentives. Current problem is that users need to key in counter code to make purchases. And the UX is not clear to first time users and has limited features. Not many places accepts this form of payment.
Process
Building a product that what users want. We conducted interviews with current Dash users, other payment app users and merchants. We also worked closely with stakeholders on developing new features that we think users would like to have.
Solution
New Dash UX/UI
Users want something easy, hassle free and more reason to use this app. Improved version has 1. App works in tap and go manner with NFC phones. Now you don't need to key in counter code to pay for your purchases/taxi. 2. This app has EZ link card 'tap and go' feature for your public transportation journey. 3. Extra features like sending money to friends locally and overseas. Offers/discount coupons with partnering merchants. Pay bills (credit cards, utilities and memberships). Pay Online purchases (like PayPal). Donate to charities via app. Top up mobile credit. Cash out at supermarket cashiers with purchases.

We conducted a lot of interviews, research on payment apps and user behaviour, created simple user flows/journeys, wireframing, prototyping to user testing with different groups of users.
